Today we harvested the beetroot we have been growing in the garden. Jacob used a trowel to dig up the beetroots and we put the leaves in the compost.
In the kitchen we washed the beetroot, then used a knife to cut off the roots. After that, we used a peeler to peel the beetroot and finally used a box grater to grate the beetroot.
After one week in the sprouter the seeds have sprouted and we washed them and added the sprouts to the salad. We made a simple salad dressing with olive oil, vinegar, mixed herbs, salt and pepper. It looked amazing and tasted very healthy!
