Classes 11 and 12 had their residential last week up in Exeter at Escot and stayed in Yurt Village.
A real challenge they faced was plodding their way through a muddy bog with no shoes on, some of them got stuck in the mud but it was all part of the fun.
They used their forest skills to build shelters and make fires, went through a maze, played games in the yurt and had fun with a huge parachute.
Pupils also got a chance to feed some wild animals such as a boar, red squirrels and otters, and see birds of prey flying through the air and landing on their arm.
They enjoyed the lovely food cooked for them and tided up each evening to help the staff.
A favourite part of the trip was toasting marshmallows over the fire.
