What another fantastic half term! The pupils have really engaged with all of their learning and there have been lots of amazing things happening around the school.
We were visited by Kevin Foster, the local MP, who sat in on a School Council Meeting. The pupils really enjoyed asking him questions about his job and what he had planned for the community.
Around the school, pupils have been working hard on their chosen curriculum topics. Class 8 have been looking at the Stone Age, investigating rocks and cave paintings. The sensory base pupils have been working on their mark making skills and following the lines on the Interactive White Board. Class 11 have been reading about Peter Pan and brought the story to life dressing up and making tin foil swords.
Of course, the big finale to the half term was our Science Week and the topic this year was Investigators and Detectives. Pupils looked at various things, from how animals camouflage themselves, to solving ‘crimes’ around the school by following clues.
We hope you all have a lovely half term break and we can’t wait to get stuck in to the fun activities planned for the second half of the term!
