We had a great week before the half term celebrating Science Week. Our main focus was ‘forces’ and there were lots of exciting events and activities happening all around the school throughout the week.
Pupils investigated gravity by letting leaves fall to the ground, and cars roll down tracks. Older pupils tried balancing peacock feathers on their bodies, counteracting its desire to fall by manipulating their bodies. Other pupils explored the effects of pushing and pulling through messy sensory play and art sessions. The playground is a great place to look at these forces, pushing each other on the roundabout and swings.
A favourite among the pupils is always the bubble experiments, particularly when they got to stand inside giant bubbles!
We can’t wait to explore more science themes throughout the rest of the year!
