Pupils from Classes 14 and 17 spent a week at Devon Cliffs Caravan Park where they stayed for a whole week. This was a new experience for many of our pupils as they had not stayed away from home for that long before. The pupils shared caravans with the staff, helping to prepare their meals and packed lunches every day. They also developed their skills in personal independence and self-care which was a great learning experience.
Whilst away, they visited Crealy in Exeter which is always a firm favourite among staff and pupils alike! They braved the log flumes, roller coasters and pirate ship as well as visiting the animals in the petting zoo.
They also had a day trip to the World of Country Living where they were able to get close to the animals, feeding them and learning about their care.
Back at Devon Cliffs they made use of the facilities on offer, enjoying the play parks and amusements. The pool even threw a Pool party for them, bringing out the giant inflatable for the pupils to scramble across. They all had a great time!
