The sun has shined this half term so the students have made the most of it! A huge well done to our Ten tors team again this year.
All students in year 11 and year 14 have successfully completed their exams and assessments within areas of Personal Progress, PSE and English Maths and ICT accreditation. I am very proud of all that have achieved.
The half term has not only focused on outdoor education in the sunshine, but also in preparing our leavers for their next steps . Transition is underway and all placements are moving on well. It is always sad to see students go but we are pleased to say that they have all gained the placements that they wanted and deserved. We have also started the transition for our 11’s from the main school to join College in September. They are due to attend our options event after half term to make their work experience choices and the areas of the curriculum they want to focus on.
We would like to express our thanks to Julian Grant. Julian donated a cheque to the College, in conjunction with Winners2000, for £500. We will be using the money donated to add a green house and some much needed tools for our budding horticulturists here at the college.
We would also like to thank Alan Tilley, Wellbeing manager for United response. We have been working closely with United Response to expand our offer here at the College. We now have access to the farm on the Sharpham Estate for additional animal care and outdoor education , Roc Point to act as a base for our students learning to travel train and also Roc Creative.
We hope you all have a wonderful half term
